Looking for help on mounting a transducer on the middle front of pontoon. I have been looking for one of those pivoting metal rods guys used in the past to mount transducer on back of boat. Most installation manuals will tell you to make it dead-even or slightly below the bottom and Ive found it best to mount the leading edge of the transducer even with the bottom edge of the boat and cock it back ever so slightly so the back of the transducer is about 116th of an inch lower then the bottom of the boat.

I assume you have mounted it on the rear stern of the left port side. Should be a bolt where you can loosen adjust the angle that helped for me. Seems like boats that dont really plane have a hard time reading the depth maybe too much cavitation or prop turbulance.
